JESUS + NOTHING = SUCCESS
My name is Cooper Coffman, and I'm a graduate of Teen Challenge of the Dakotas. I grew up going to church just to please my parents and because I had to. I never really had a real relationship with Jesus. Over time, I started partying and drinking and abusing prescription drugs until one day everything came crashing down. I lost my job, was arrested twice, and I was addicted to prescription drugs. I had blown all my money on them and was left with nothing. I cried out to the Lord for help and He answered me and brought me to Teen Challenge. God working through the staff members there changed my life. I surrendered all to Jesus and gave my life to Him. One of the most important things learned at Teen Challenge was that once I realized I can’t do anything apart from Christ and gave everything to Him, he began to work wonders. As 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” I am made new and God has been working within me fulfilling my dreams. I always wanted to become a police officer and figured I could never make that come true with my past, but God is faithful and just and proved me wrong. God fulfilled my dream and I now work for the Tama Police Department in Iowa, doing what I love and enjoying every day of it. Teen Challenge and Jesus Christ together make a life changing program and I thank God everyday for it.
